Education Endowment Fund (EEF) Information
EDUCATION ENDOWMENT FUND
The Sacramento Chapter of APWA, established in 1965, promotes education for public works and related fields through ongoing seminar programs and a successful scholarship program. In 1994, the Sacramento Chapter leadership vowed additional commitment to the education mission through creation of the EDUCATION ENDOWMENT FUND (EEF). The goal of the EEF is to provide additional educational opportunities and to enhance educational experiences in the public works field. Since an initial Chapter investment of $36,000, the EEF has grown over $1,500,000 through the generous donations of Founders, Sustaining Members, Patrons, and other contributors and fundraising. The EEF is destined to become the preeminent sponsor of engineering and science education in Northern California. The Sacramento Chapter EEF has awarded over $340,000 in grants to local universities since 2001. Those universities include CSU Sacramento, UC Davis, University of the Pacific, and CSU Chico.
